The team at The Black Montessori Education Fund (BMEF) is committed to Montessori education as a means of liberation and has over 30 years of combined education and nonprofit experience.
Our History
The Black Montessori Education Fund (BMEF) was birthed out of the realization of the urgent necessity for healing in the Black community from the trauma of racism that is negatively impacting Black children.
Our Mission
We seek to combine the proven liberatory philosophy of Montessori education with the continued struggle of Black people for spiritual, social, emotional and economic independence.
